SIRS Decades will have valuable biographical  information  for those who were prominent in the past.

EBSCO has a search option for biographies. You can uncheck all other search options and then select the biographies option.

eLibrary Curriculum Edition allows learners to research current issues through magazines, newspapers, transcripts, pictures, maps, and books.  Includes  specialized history &  literature databases.  Lots of learning  tools for teachers and students.

Historical Newspapers would be beneficial when researching prominent people from the past.
