eLibrary Curriculum Edition allows students to research current issues through magazines, newspapers, transcipts, pictures, maps, and books. 


 


 
SIRS Decades offer researchers access to both secondary and primary resources related to 20th century American decades.  Lots of valuable tools, including a timeline, cartoon gallery, images and much more!


Offers researchers access to full-text and full-image articles from the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post, and the Wallstreet Journal.  Articles date from the mid 1800's to the current century.



NetTrekker contains over 180,000 educator-selected online resources. NetTrekker also contains an entire section devoted to ELL students and to teaching ESL.

SIRS Knowledge Sources:  Full text articles, documents , and graphics from SIRS Issues Researcher, SIRS Government Reporter, SIRS Renaissance, and SIRS Net Select.



Ebsco Student Research Center database contains magazines, newspapers, reference works, biographies, news transcripts, geographical reports, primary source documents, photos, maps, and flags.  It draws from 1000 magazine subscriptions, and 230 regional, national, and international newspapers.


Images Searching:  When viewing the largest size of the picture, right click and select Save As,  put it in your Decades folder on your V drive.

AP Images provides access to the same images and AV files circulated to news publishers.  This is it!  Over one million captioned photos, graphics, audio files on both historical and up-to-the-minute news events. The most current photos available from any source. There is no home access to this database.


 

NoodleTools allows researchers to create, edit, and maintain works cited lists and bibliographies.  Users start by creating a personal account. (Please see Craig Library Media staff for assistance in creating an account.)  Noodle Tools offers the option of creating simple MLA, advanced MLA, and APA formatted citations that can easily be converted to Microsoft Word documents. 



SoundzAbound is a royalty free music database for education.  Craig has an unlimited license.  The database includes a several easy search options. See LMC staff for a password to access this site when you are not at Craig.
