Access Science offers current information on topics relevant to the rapid growth of knowledge in the fields of science and technology. Find definitions, news articles, research updates, biographies, & Internet sites.


AP Images provides access to the same images and AV files circulated to news publishers.  This is it!  Over one million captioned photos, graphics, audio files on both historical and up-to-the-minute news events. The most current photos available from any source. There is no home access to this database.

All Data is a comprehensive resources for automotive diagnostic and repair information. Access the latest Technical Service Bulletins, print wiring diagrams, and much more.  Available from computer stations in the Tech Ed area and in the LMC. There is no home access to this database.


BadgerLink provides access to thousands of newspaper, magazine and journal articles via Wisconsin's online database collection, free to Wisconsin learners.  Includes: African American Biographical Database, EbscoHost, LitFinder,Teaching Books, Proquest Newstand, Ethnic Newswatch, and Wiscat.

Country Watch provides up-to-date news and information on each of the  recognized countries of the world.  CountryWatch features a map gallery, global guide, and a weekly political intelligence briefing. 


Culture Grams is an online collection of databases allowing students to compare places and cultures worldwide.  Includes photo and video gallery, biographical sketches of famous people, and recipes from around the world. 

SIRS Decades offer researchers a
ccess to both secondary and primary resources related to 20th century American decades.  Lots of valuable tools, including a timeline, cartoon gallery, images and much more!


Ebsco Student Research Center database contains magazines, newspapers, reference works, biographies, news transcripts, geographical reports, primary source documents, photos, maps, and flags free for Wisconsin students.  This student friendly database draws from 1000 magazine subscriptions, and 230 regional, national, and international newspaper subscriptions.  Hosted by Badgerlink.

eLibrary Curriculum Edition allows learners to research current issues through magazines, newspapers, transcripts, pictures, maps, and books.  Includes  specialized  historyliterature databases.  Lots of learning  tools for teachers and students.



 
ELibrary Science allows students to access magazines, books, pictures, audio and video files, radio transcripts, and reference works to search for science related topics.  ELibrary Science also offers a variety of interactive computer activities.



Hedberg databases that students may find particularly helpful include; 3 Infotrac databases, Learning Express Library, Literature Resource Center, NoveList, and Opposing Viewpoints Reference Center.  In addition to the quality databases available to Hedberg patrons, users with a national Internet provider may also access Badgerlink through Hedberg’s database collection.

Historic Newspapers offers researchers access to full-text and full-image articles from the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post, and the Wallstreet Journal.  Articles date from the mid 1800's to the current century. 


Learning: Literature is where students go for the latest word on authors they study in class and read at home!  Access author biographies, full-text literature journals, full-text literary works, and other key criticisms and references.

LitFinder provides access to the world's best poetry (in-depth review of world poetry--across cultures & across time, over 85,000 full-text poems, poet biographies and more) & Story Finder


Magill's Medical Guide

Magill's Medical contains a variety of topics including; Anatomy & Physiology;  Diagnosis & Testing; Diseases, Disorders, & Symptoms; Mental Health; Prevention & Lifestyle; Social Issues; Specialties & Health Care Providers; Treatment & Therapy

NetTrekker
contains over 180,000 educator-selected online resources. NetTrekker also contains an entire section devoted to ELL students and to teaching ESL.

NoodleTools allows researchers to create, edit, and maintain works cited lists and bibliographies.  Users start by creating a personal account. (Please see Craig Library Media staff for assistance in creating an account.)  Noodle Tools offers the option of creating simple MLA, advanced MLA, and APA formatted citations that can easily be converted to Microsoft Word documents.  


SIRS Knowledge Sources:  Full text articles, documents , and graphics from SIRS Issues Researcher, SIRS Government Reporter, SIRS Renaissance, and SIRS Net Select.


SoundzAbound is a royalty free music database for education.  Craig has an unlimited license.  The database includes a several easy search options. See LMC staff for a password to access this site when you are not at Craig.


Teen Health & Wellness provides students with information and self-help tools on topics including diseases, drugs, alcohol, nutrition, fitness, mental health, diversity, family life, and more.

Washington Information Directory is a guide to national organizations and government agencies.


WisCareers is provided to you by Craig counselors in the Student Center, this career development tool is designed especially for Wisconsin residents.  Personal logins are required.  Please see Mrs. Gard, Mrs. Pumilia (LMC) or your counselor to obtain yours.


World Book is an online encyclopedia and more...featuring up to the  minute news, frequently updated articles, image and video galleries, and curriculum guides.
