Atomic Learning
provides web-based software training for more than 100 applications students and educators use everyday. Our short, easy-to-view-and-understand tutorials are an integral part of a professional development program, a valuable curriculum supplement, and an anytime/anywhere training resource.

Thousands of newspapers, magazine and journal articles via Wisconsin's online database collection, free to Wisconsin learners.  Includes the following online resources: African American Biographical Database, EbscoHost, LitFinder,Teaching Books, Proquest Newstand, Ethnic Newswatch, and Wiscat.

CountryWatch
provides up-to-date news and information on each of the  recognized countries of the world.  CountryWatch features a map gallery, global guide, and a weekly political intelligence briefing. 

Online collection of databases allowing students to compare places and cultures worldwide.  Includes photo gallery, biographical sketches of famous people, and recipes from around the world. 


Access both secondary and primary resources related to 20th century American decades.  Lots of valuable tools, including a timeline, cartoon gallery, images and much more!

Ebsco’s Student Research Center database contains magazines, newspapers, reference works, biographies, news transcripts, geographical reports, primary source documents, photos, maps, and flags free for Wisconsin students.  This student friendly database draws from 1000 magazine subscriptions, and 230 regional, national, and international newspaper subscriptions.  Hosted by Badgerlink.

historyliterature databases.  Lots of learning  tools for teachers and students.

ELibrary Science
allows students to access magazines, books, pictures, audio and video files, radio transcripts, and reference works to search for science related topics.  ELibrary Science also offers a variety of interactive computer activities. 


News as reported by the people and cultures closest to the events.  Includes access to articles published in many small / obscure US and global publications. Hosted by Badgerlink.


Databases that students may find particularly helpful include; 3 Infotrac databases, Learning Express Library, Literature Resource Center, NoveList, and Opposing Viewpoints Reference Center.  In addition to the quality databases available to Hedberg patrons, users with a national Internet provider may also access Badgerlink through Hedberg’s database collection.


Full-text and full-image articles from the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the Washington Post, and the Wallstreet Journal.  Articles date from the mid 1800's to the current century.
 

Access to the World's Best Poetry (an in-depth review of world poetry--across cultures and across time, including over 85,000 full-text poems, poet biographies and more) and to Story Finder (full-text short stories--both contemporary and classic). Hosted by Badgerlink.

NetTrekker
contains over 180,000 educator-selected online resources. NetTrekker also contains an entire section devoted to ELL students and to teaching ESL.



More than 500 U.S. regional and national newspapers, wire services, and broadcasts. Articles from over 1,000 translated broadcasts, wire services, newspapers, magazines, and government documents.

Create, edit, and maintain works cited lists and bibliographies with this simple tool.  Users start by creating a personal account. (Please see Craig Library Media staff for assistance in creating an account.)  Noodle Tools offers the option of creating simple MLA, advanced MLA, and APA formatted citations that can easily be converted to Microsoft Word documents.
