Wisconsin's Executive Residence

Craig High School students were offered the opportunity to attend a Reading Day at the Executive Residence of Wisconsin’s First Lady Jessica Doyle on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Erika Janik, the author of Odd Wisconsin: Amusing, Perplexing, and Unlikely Stories from Wisconsin’s Past, was available to discuss her book with students. This was an incredible opportunity for us. It promoted reading and allowed students to share Wisconsin history with an author of a historical book. While at the Executive Residence, Craig students were given a tour of the Executive Residence and a group photo was taken for a Reads Poster. 
 
All students who attended the Reading Day at the Executive Residence receive a copy of the book Odd Wisconsin: Amusing, Perplexing, and Unlikely Stories from Wisconsin’s Past by Erika Janik. First Lady Jessica Doyle and Erika Janik were available to autograph the book..
