Adventure Club
Advisor: Advisor Needed
Adventure club will give students the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and other fun experiences through physical activities that may not be available to ALL students, as well as participate in community service in outdoor areas. Activities may include: Hiking, Biking, Skiing, Rock climbing, Cave Repelling, Cleaning Parks, and other community Service.
American Sign Language Club (ASL)
ASL Communications educates students about American Sign Language (ASL), the deaf and hard of hearing community, and how to use ASL to communicate with others. Members will learn how to hold conversations in ASL, along with how ASL came to be and the communities that use it. ASL provides a place to have fun, meet new people, and gain insight about something that’s not too well known. Meetings will be held every other Friday after school in room 522. Dues: None

Advisor: Advisor Needed
This club is for all things archery! Archery club is a space for students anywhere from beginners to advanced archers, all levels are welcome! Archery club meets every Tuesday, from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Janesville's Hunt-N-Gear. We work on the skills needed to become a seasoned archer, as well as build a community and act as a safe space for students to enjoy archery and the people around them!
Aviation Club
Bee Club
The Bee Club educates the importance of bees, mainly honey bees, through activities such as eating honey, making posters, informing others about bees, and spreading awareness of the dropping bee population. Anyone interested in bees is welcome to join. Meetings will be held once per month in the agriculture room. Dues: $5.00
Black Student Union
Blue Ribbon of Promise
The Blue Ribbon of Promise Committee is comprised of a diverse group of students who wish to put an end to school violence by promoting school unity, building connections with both staff and students, and striving to insure that all students feel comfortable at Craig High School. Meetings will be held in room 702. Dues: $5
Bowling Club
The purpose of the Janesville Craig Bowling Club will be to provide high school students an opportunity to experience the spirit of team competition and community pride while participating in a sport they can enjoy for the rest of their lives. The Bowling Club will allow any Craig bowler, an opportunity to participate within a team environment. The Janesville Craig Bowling Club will provide sanctioned high school bowling competition as defined by the USBC and will provide an opportunity for student bowlers to meet bowlers from other schools and travel to other bowling club facilities.
Season is about Mid-October to Feb/Mar and more information can also be obtained by talking to Jamie Jones at RiversEdge Bowling Alley. Fees vary on USBC requirements
Brothers Reaching Out (BRO)
BRO is a group whose purpose is to reclaim the brilliance of the African American heritage so that African American males can be fully empowered to excel academically and socially. We will be taking part in a variety of school and community service activities. All students are welcome. Meetings will be held at Craig at various times throughout the day. Please listen to announcements for information regarding meetings. Dues: None
Chamber Singers
Description: Selective choir open to all students by audition. Repertoire consists of classical music from all eras and a wide variety of ethnic music and vocal jazz. Activities include concerts on and off campus (alongside the other choirs) and possible tours. Rehearsals will be held twice a week after school for 30-45 minutes. There is no cost to students; any tours will be fundraised and will likely involve other choirs. Once a year, a student may have the opportunity to take private conducting lessons and conduct a piece at one of the Spring concerts. See Dr. Szelogowski in Room 608 for more information.

This club is open to students who have studied or are currently studying Chinese, and will provide additional opportunities to advance their understanding of Chinese culture and language. Students will participate in activities such as field trips, Chinese crafts, food preparation, Chinese games,and welcoming exchange students. Meetings will be monthly from September through May the location is to be determined. Dues: $5.00
Chinese National Honor Society
Description: The purpose of this honor society is to encourage its members to become lifelong learners in order to gain a better understanding of chinese language and culture, as well as to play an active role as a contributing global citizen in the twenty-first century. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of the every month.
Prerequisite: 6 semesters of chinese language, excluding senior year, with an average grade of B or above.
Dues: $10.00
Christian Fellowship
Christian Fellowship Club is a Christian based group that meets together weekly for encouragement, prayer and community. We participate in different service projects like Angel Tree, Operation Christmas Child, Bags of Hope, etc. We also use meeting times to learn more about how to grow in our faith and how to show that faith to others. This club is open to anyone who wants to learn more about their faith and build some encouraging relationships with others.

The Cornhole Club offers students the opportunity to play cornhole, and facilitates collaboration with other students through participation, and watching others play. This club is open to anyone interested in learning this game. Meetings will be held after school, twice a month, on Wednesday in room 908. Fee: $10.00
Culinary Club

Culinary Club is open to all Craig High School Students. Members of this club seek to develop leadership skills, teamwork and culinary skills through meetings, guest speakers, cooking competitions, and field trips. There is no cost to join, however, each member is expected to bring in ingredients once a month. Meetings are held twice a month in room B020.
Debate
Advisor: Advisor Needed
Debate is a competitive speaking activity for anyone in grades 9-12. Students research current events, create and frame appropriate arguments, learn listening and note-taking strategies, write and practice speeches. The debate team travels to 10-12 tournaments throughout Wisconsin during the fall and winter. Teams and individuals are eligible to win trophies, medals, and a letter. Meet in room 716. Dues: None
DECA
DECA is a club for all marketing students as well as any other students interested in business. Activities include networking socially and professionally. Get involved in social events such as pizza parties, field trips, competitions throughout the state and country, fundraising, and community service projects. DECA meets approximately once per month in room 610 before school. Dues are $25.00 Join in and expand your network personally and professionally.
Disc Golf
Disc Golf Club is open to all students, regardless of disc golf experience. Students will get the opportunity to learn basic rules of the game as well as learn different throwing techniques (backhand, forehand, putting, etc). Members will also gain an appreciation for nature by enjoying the outdoors and learning to be stewards of the course. Disc Golf Club will meet Wednesdays after school in Room 604. When the weather gets warm we will occasionally meet at Lustig Park or Riverside Park.
Doctor Who

This club provides opportunities to make friends and have fun with students with similar interests. Activities include watching episodes of the show, holding debates, Doctor Who themed food parties, making an annual Doctor Who themed T-shirt, and possibly even building a Tardis.
Drama Guild
Dungeons & Dragons
The Dungeons & Dragons Club is a group of imaginative and welcoming students that gathers to play this classic role-playing game. The D&D Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 until 4:30 in the LMC (and sometimes in room 707). Join us to experience exciting campaigns, dangerous battles, and daring escapes! All experience levels are welcome, and spell and character sheets are provided. We also march in the Homecoming parade and have a Google Classroom (code: c4jjfve).
Engineering Club

This club is for students who like to play competitive video games in any capacity. We will have “Competitive Squads” which compete for scholarships in national tournaments in the games of Overwatch, Hearthstone, Dota 2, and Starcraft II, as well as casual gaming for those who simply want a space to meet with friends and play for fun.
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)
FBLA, or Future Business Leaders of America is a club for all students interested in business, finance, and marketing. Activities include monthly meetings, competitions, and fundraising events. Dues are $25. FBLA brings a slew of benefits to its members, which include networking opportunities, and the experience of competition.

French Club
French Club is a fun club for students who want to expand their knowledge of French and Francophone culture. Students learn about French holidays, French food, and other topics of interest. Snacks are provided at most meetings. You don’t have to be a French student to be in French Club! French Club meets at least once per month. Dues: None
French National Honor Society
Students meeting the following qualifications may apply: Must be enrolled in their third semester of high school French with an A- average or better in French and an overall GPA of at least a B-. Qualified students must participate in the spring initiation ceremony and are required to complete at least 15 service hours to earn honors cords. Activities include fundraising and service activities. Quarterly meetings. Initiation fee is $35.00. Dues: None
Future Educators
Genders & Sexualities Alliances (GSA)
Genders & Sexualities Alliances, or GSAs for short, are student-run organizations that unite LGBTQ+ and allied youth to build community and organize around issues impacting them in their schools and communities. GSAs have evolved beyond their traditional role to serve as safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth in middle schools and high schools, and have emerged as vehicles for deep social change related to racial, gender, and educational justice.
Global Scholars
This is a club for students who are interested in expanding their global education and gaining cultural experience in a fun environment with like-minded people. Participants will be working toward the Wisconsin Global Scholars Certificate and honors cords. Global Scholars has quarterly portfolio workshops and a bi-yearly field trip to UW-Madison for Languages of the World Day.

International Buddies
International Buddies is a club for international and domestic students who have an interest in learning about other international cultures and making new friends. Students are paired up with a buddy and are responsible for participating in social outings both during and after the school day. Students participate in planned cross-cultural activities with the goal of learning about each other's culture. Domestic students are asked to make a concerted effort to help the international students feel welcome at Craig.
Investment Club
Investment Club is an organization that allows students to learn more about the stock market and building wealth. The club will cover any topics students are interested in learning about while focusing on activities like stock market simulations. If the students are interested the club may travel to St. Louis, New York City, Chicago, or other locations. Club Meetings are usually held before school and are announced via school announcements and through the club's Google Classroom and GroupMe.
Interact Club
Are you interested in helping to make a difference in the lives of others in Janesville and around the world? The Interact club (affiliated with the Janesville Morning Rotary Club) is the largest volunteer student group at CHS.
- 12 hours of community service required each year
- Student members choose the cause that THEY wish to help
- We work to donate and advocate at local and global levels.
- Create awareness and fundraise for socially responsible issues across the globe such as:
- Refugees in Syria
- Typhoon cleanup in the Philippines
- Clean water in Haiti
- Food shortage in Haiti, Nicaragua, the Congo
- Child soldiers in Africa
- Education for girls in Afghanistan
- Host movie nights at CHS to raise awareness of world issues.

Jazz Ensemble
Auditions for Jazz Ensemble are held at the completion of the marching band season, usually in October. All rehearsals are scheduled outside the regular school day. Jazz Ensemble is available to all students currently enrolled in band. Non-band students that play electric guitar and electric bass may also audition. Rehearsals are held before school. All Jazz bands perform at “Jazz Fest” in the spring.
JSOL Guides
JSOL guides conduct tours of the Janesville Schools Outdoor Lab for elementary students in the spring and fall. Fall guide training is required. Applications are available in September the 1st week of school and January the first week of 2nd semester. The applications can be picked up from room 816.
Junior Optimist Club
- "Participation in Junior Optimist International gives young people the opportunity to serve their communities. Students who are involved in Junior Optimist Clubs learn about and practice good citizenship, teamwork, communication and money management. They feel good about themselves and have high self-esteem. Membership in Junior Optimist Clubs helps to develop friendships with others who share the same interests. There are opportunities for personal growth and leadership positions at Club, District, and International levels. Junior Optimist exposes Members to Optimism as a philosophy of life, provides Members with an improved sense of kindness, increased awareness for those in need, and a better sense of coping with cultural diversity. - Locally, the Junior Optimist Club is sponsored by the Wednesday Morning Optimists in Janesville, WI. Students who wish to join do not need to pay dues, as this club will pay the dues for us. We participate in service opportunities such as Optimist Park Clean-ups, car washes, and helping with school and community events. Our annual candy gram fundraiser is a big hit at Christmas time! Seniors who earn at least 10 service hours can earn a cord for the graduation ceremony. We hold meetings when needed, but not on a regular basis. You can join the club by contacting Ms. Jensen in room 111 or by emailing ejensen@janesville.

League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC)
The goals are to give back to the community, not just the Latinx community but the Janeville community in general. This is a great way to make friends, we will be able to get along with others, and have a place where students feel comfortable talking to one another and know that they have support. We’d be united as ONE. LULAC is a great place to get to meet new people. LULAC is a club for ALL students. Dues: $10.00
Legacy Steppers
The Legacy Steppers are a group that revolves around step, dancing, and majorette performances. The overall goal is to create a safe space for African-American females who dance. The group practices routines to perform at special events for the school. All African-American females are welcome to join through a tryout process. Meeting Times: Cafeteria, Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00 No fees/dues.

Link leaders are juniors and seniors who aide the 9th graders in their transition to high school. Leaders must apply in the spring of their sophomore or junior year and are then selected for the following year. Link leaders meet during the school day, and the leaders get to go in to freshman advisories periodically throughout the year to lead activities!

The club meets on Mondays and Thursdays right after school in Room 517 until 4:30pm
We use our time to play minecraft together and have fun. Whether it be exploring the nether, building a farm and a restaurant in survival mode, or making a secret base beneath the End in creative mode we're always trying to have a good time being creative in Minecraft.
National Art Honor Society
NAHS strives to aid members in working toward the attainment of the highest standards in art areas. Members must be a Junior or Senior, have one year of high school art class and have a cumulative 3.0 GPA. NAHS provides art scholarships through a variety of fundraisers. We try to build school spirit with art projects that enhance the building and depict the visual/musical/drama areas of our curriculum. Meetings are held monthly in room 127. Dues are $10.00 for juniors and $20.00 for seniors.
National Honor Society
NHS membership is by invitation only. The Faculty Council extends invitations to interested students who meet the published criteria. Student candidates must meet Character, Citizenship, Leadership, Service and Scholarship criteria in addition to attending one of the mandatory information meetings. Faculty Council will review candidates and extend invitations based on eligibility and documented evidence of meeting the above listed criteria. Annual dues are $15.00
Pathways' Pals Buddy Program

The purpose of this club/team would allow non-winter sport athletes and other interested students a chance to participate in powerlifting competition while developing strength and confidence. Any male or female who attends Craig High School or Rock River Charter School is allowed to participate.
Quill and Scroll
Quill and Scroll is the national honor society for outstanding high school journalists. Membership is an honor available to juniors and seniors involved in the publication of the Phoenix yearbook and Criterion newspaper. Students must be in the top one-third of their class and demonstrate a strong commitment to service and to their school through journalistic endeavors that exceed expectations. Members will wear an honor cord at graduation. Meetings vary. Dues: None
Robotics Club
The Robotics club is combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We are the Rock County Robotics Club, FIRST Robotics Team 3692. We are comprised of students from Parker, Craig and Milton High Schools in Rock County Wisconsin. We participate in an educational and exciting robotics program sponsored by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High School student participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.” Under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense six-week time limit, teams of 20 or more students are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team.
Science National Honor Society
Encourage and recognize scientific thought, and to advance student’s knowledge of classical and modern science. Through participation in scientific research projects, Craig’s Science NHS chapter will help model real-world science for other students and for members of the community. Must be classified as either a junior or senior at CHS, have and maintain a 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and a 3.5 in science courses, have credit for at least one pre-AP science course during or prior to their junior year, and have completed or be enrolled in an AP Science Course. Candidates must not have been suspended from school nor have attended alternative school in grades 9 through 12.

Skills USA
Skills USA empowers it's members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens. Skills USA improves the quality of our nation's future skilled workforce through the development of Framework skills that include personal, workplace and technical skills grounded in academics.
Spanish Club
Spanish Honor Society
Must be enrolled in Spanish III, with an A- average or better in Spanish classes taken during the last three semesters and have an overall 3.0 GPA. Activities include fund-raising for scholarships, service activities and several Spanish related activities. Occasional meetings. Dues: $15.00 upon acceptance.
Spotlighters
Spotlighters is an auditioned show choir composed of singer/dancers, crew and a show band of approximately 12 instrumentalists. Auditions are held in the spring and a choreography camp is held in August prior to the start of the school year. Membership is open to any Craig or Parker student grades 9-12. Rehearsals are held on Monday and Thursday nights from approximately 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. The group enters 6 show choir competitions each year during the months of January through March. Student Council
The elected student government advocates for the student body, participates in community support activities, sponsors the Homecoming week activities, hosts jams, helps organize the Bloodmobile at Craig, sponsors Daisy Day, and hosts the Spring Talent Show. Election is in the spring for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. There is a fall election for 9th graders. Meets once a month. Dues: None
Teen Book Club
This club is for students who have an interest in reading and sharing books with their peers. Activities include discussing books during I-Block. After discussions of specific books, there may be a culminating activity or field trip. Activities may include a field trip to meet an author, attend the premiere of a movie, all-night read-in at Craig, etc. This club is open to all students and staff at Craig. No dues, but the cost of field trips are the student’s responsibility. Dues: None

In the World Building Club you will create your own world. Within that world you can write a script or book that showcases your world. Write lore, create a magic system and then dive in and explore that world! The purpose of this group is for students to get together with other students that have similar interests and explore fantasy worlds of their own creation.

It is a club that celebrates different cultures from around the world, allowing students the opportunity to participate in cultural experiences from various regions. The goal of the World Culture Club is to show the importance of all cultures, learning through sharing, and building community with one another. Members of WCC will learn about different languages, cultures, and traditions each meeting through music, food, games, videos, movies, and other activities like guest speakers or foreign exchange students sharing their firsthand experiences. All are welcome to join!
